As Mercedes-Benz expands their electric line with an eye towards the future of automobiles, they reached out to our team to create a set of campaign images featuring their flagship EQS model in Hong Kong.

Our in-house team took on full production and the creative for this project, completing location scouting, art direction, photography, and post-production within a remarkably tight schedule at the tail end of 2021 for the local launch of the EQS.

The brief was to place the Mercedes-Benz EQS in an environment that paid homage to our home city. To ensure the Mercedes-Benz EQS was set against the iconic Hong Kong skyline, the Capsule48 production house fixers secured highly coveted locations along the TST waterfront with a clear view of the city at night. The team used long exposure and light painting to bring out the car’s details against both the glow of sunset and the darkness of twilight. As the night grew dark, our team introduced grittier production details such as a wet down on the concrete floor to enhance the textures and contrast of the final image.
